We never ask for wallets or seed phrases
BeefyGuard is a group-security bot. If a site, bot, or DM claiming to be BeefyGuard asks you to connect a wallet, enter a seed phrase, or "verify" funds — it is not us. Leave immediately.
Hard rules
- We never DM you first as "support" asking for secrets.
- We never ask for seed phrases, recovery phrases, or private keys.
- We never ask you to connect MetaMask or any wallet to use BeefyGuard.
- Dashboard login uses Telegram Login — not a crypto wallet popup.
Permissions the bot needs
In your Telegram group, @beefyguard_bot needs admin rights to protect members:
- Delete messages
- Ban users
- Restrict members (for mute / limited actions)
Those permissions are for group moderation only. They do not grant access to anyone's crypto wallets.
What we watch for
BeefyGuard monitors your group for admin impersonators (name clones, lookalike usernames, profile-photo copies) and related abuse signals you enable. It cannot police private DMs — so still pin: "Admins never DM first."
Verify you are on the real product
Name collisions
BeefyGuard is not affiliated with Beefy Finance, Telegram's official support, or unrelated "Safeguard" verification scams that have targeted crypto users. Always check the domain and bot username character by character.
